What are HIIT Classes at Fit Factory Fitness?

HIIT classes may be challenging, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t make things a lot easier on yourself if you come prepared! Here are five things we suggest first-timers do before stepping into the classroom:

HIIT training isn’t the same for everyone – there are a variety of factors that can affect how well the results pan out for you. But for the curious, here are just some of the benefits you’ll get from doing HIIT:

Fat Loss

Perhaps one of the best reasons why you should take HIIT classes is to reduce fat buildup and get rid of excess fat that you don’t need. We’re not talking about surface fat either: consistent HIIT sessions have been proven to get rid of visceral fat, or the fat around your organs that makes you more prone to disease.

HIIT doesn’t just “sweat out” the fat, but it also puts your body in a calorie-burning state even after your class is done. This conditions your body to effectively and regularly burn fat each session, which lowers your overall chances of getting sedentary fat to begin with.

And while HIIT does pretty well with burning fat, Fit Factory Fitness is pretty careful about how we do it. We only make sure to push you as far as you’re able to go, and no further. HIIT is no good to you if you consistently exhaust yourself doing it – it’s important to give your body time to heal.

Muscle Gain

One of the other benefits people can get from HIIT training is increased growth of muscle mass. While weight training is still the best way for you to really bulk up, HIIT isn’t half bad with the improvements it can make to major muscle groups, especially if you’re specifically targeting those areas.

It’s especially effective with people who don’t really have a lot of experience working out since the changes are more drastic. The repeated conditioning of your body to be more active during HIIT training exercises your muscles, making them bigger and more resilient.

Plenty of FFF students usually combine muscle gain with fat loss for a powerful one-two punch towards making their bodies better. But again, we’re always extremely careful about how much physical strain to put you through to avoid any adverse effects.

Lowers Blood Sugar

Here’s something for diabetics: HIIT can help lower your blood sugar levels and improve your insulin resistance. With your body being active all the time, your system is more efficient at processing food into your body and toxins away from it, eventually being conditioned to do this process 24/7. While the exact benefits can vary from person to person, HIIT training is an excellent way to manage blood sugar levels alongside other treatments.

This is pretty useful for people who are at the risk of developing diabetes and want to head it off early since HIIT can also confer other benefits that can make you more resilient against developing sickness in general. When the body is active, that means the immune systems are also working in high gear. HIIT routines and their careful conditioning can help your body not only look better but also feel great.
